(This may not be the best way to change my email address, but please send future messages to me at [log in to unmask] I am no longer working at Bowie State University but (back) at the University of the District of Columbia.)
Now for a minor observation...
Working in a writing center, I have had more opportunities to teach grammar (descriptive as well as prescriptive) than I did in the writing classroom. Every day, for example, I get students asking me to explain verb expansions, pronoun forms, English morphology, and sentence structures. Part of their motivation is to become better writers, but another part is sheer curiosity, particularly for ESL students. There's a very willing audience for grammar instruction out there.
