Christine,

I'm not sure how to diagram it RK style, but I can tell you how I
would understand the roles. To me, it's complex transitive, with
"look foolish" as what is traditionally called an object complement.
(He acts upon me in such a way as to bring about this change.)
Traditionally, I think "look foolish" is an infinitive phrase. (I
would call it a clause.) Within its internal structure, "look" is a
linking (copular) verb and "foolish" is its adjective phrase
complement. (subject complement? Here, the understood subject of this
clause is "me". I'm trying to use a terminology you might be
comfortable with.)
Here's another take. "I look foolish". Straight forward
linking/copular sentence. Why do I look foolish? "He made me look
foolish." >
If I remember right, the infinitive headed structure goes up from the
line on a little pedestal. Otherwise, you could treat like any other
object complement (As in "he made me a fool.")
   I hope that helps.

Craig

Would someone tell me what to do with "look" in a RK diagram. And what
