Please forgive me if I'm missing the obvious, but I cannot find
information for the 2011 conference on the website...
Can someone help me?
Thanks,

Dave

Subject: Twenty-Second Annual ATEG Conference

Dear ATEG List Serve member,
This list serve is a valuable forum for us to share ideas. Another
way to share is to come to the ATEG annual conference. We invite you to
the Twenty-Second Annual ATEG Conference to be held at Prince George's
Community College in Largo Maryland, July 29-30, 2011. The conference
theme is -Teaching Grammar: Working in a Spirit of Play. This is a
timely topic because of the renewed interest in teaching grammar brought
on by the adoption of the Core Education Standards in 41 states.
Come and share your techniques of teaching grammar on all levels from
elementary through college. Some methods you use you might not consider
as play - the use of the internet to find usage patterns, for example
-but play is not just for pre-schoolers any more. For our purposes, any
hands-on teaching method which can free up the learner to absorb new
ideas can create a spirit of play in the classroom. A side product of
this type of play is serious, permanent learning.
Check the ATEG website for the details about the conference and
for the registration materials. We look forward to a very rewarding
conference.
Amy Benjamin and Sherry Saylors, Co-presidents, ATEG
