Last year I read about a shareware program that helped teachers grade essays
on-line. If I recall correctly, it had a pop-up screen that had the common
mistakes such as spelling, splice, capitalization, etc. The instructor would
highlight the problem area in the assignment and click on the error grid and it
would be electronically marked. Is anyone else teaching an on-line class in which
they have to grade essays or reports. My students' work will be word processing
files attached to e-mail.

Does anyone know the name of this type of software and where I can download it
from?

Thanks,
Pat McMahon
