I received a memo today regarding the website of the Center on English
Learning & Achievement with news of their latest newsletter. If you're not
familiar with their publications, I suggest that you take a look:

http://cela.albany.edu/newsletter.htm

I was especially interested in seeing there a 48-page research report bu
Judith Langer on the characteristics of successful Middle School/High
School language arts curriculums. I've sent for it to read in print
instead of reading all of it on the screen--or printing it.

I haven't explored the other issues of the newsletter, but they're all
available on the website. I suspect there's agreat deal of information
there that should be of interest to ATEGers/teachers at all levels.
