"Useta could" is part of my most informal register, but I think I picked it up while we lived in Atlanta for six years in the 70s.

Hey all you people who recognized "a whole 'nother..." as part of your
regional language heritage, do you also recognize "useta could" as in "I
useta could recite all the state capitals from memory, but now I can't"?
