Max Morenberg's _Doing Grammar_ seems to be reasonably good for such a
purpose. I used it once with an independent-studies student. [The
pronouncement from the Academic Vice-President's office--he's an engineer
<g>--has been that at this university we will NOT teach grammar. It's a
religious thing, I'm sure. <grin>]
