For many years, the professional tutors at Oneonta State, with
no intent to poke fun at anyone, collected sentences from students'
papers through the year.  At the end of each fall term one tutor
produced a slim volume with a copy for each person and extras for the
Writing Center.  The sentences were funny, bizarre, and often
ambiguous.  It was not uncommon to have students read the sentences
and begin by being amused or mystified and end by saying, "Look,
here's another of those sentences which is really wierd because......"
