POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH EDUCATION
PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Description:
Beginning assistant professor of English Education, with primary appointment
in Department of English and one-third appointment in Department of
Curriculum and Instruction. Starting date of August 14, 2000.
Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. by August 2000 and at least three years experience teaching in
secondary schools required. Supervision of student teachers and college
teaching experience preferred. Evidence of an active research agenda and
interest in one or more of the following--applications of technology in the
English classroom, assessment, multicultural education--desirable. A
commitment to furthering existing partnerships between the university and
public schools expected.
Application Process:
Review of complete application files will begin October 1 and continue until
position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at NCTE in Denver in
