 MIKE BURRIS asks

>Will someone give me some titles of quality books on English Grammar
>for adults ? Although I have just finished my undergraduate degree
>in English, my concentration was in writing. I want to brush-up on
>my knowledge of the subject to improve my writing skill.

I swear by Robert J. Gula's *Precision: A Reference Handbook for Writers*
(University Press of America, Inc. 4720 Boston Way, Lanham, MD 20706. ISBN
# 0-8191-3688-3, paperback). It is well worth however much it costs. I use
it every single day, and along with a good dictionary, it is the one book I
want my students to take off to college and to "life" with them. Mr. Gula,
a gifted English teacher used to teach at The Groton School in MA (but,
alas, died about six years ago.)
