Dear list members,
As you know, from time to time, some Unsolicited Commercial E-mails (UCEs or
SPAM) come through the list to all of us. When this happens, I forward these
to the FCC, FTC, SPAMcop, and the originating server (when I can identify
who that is!). Today, this particular UCE below came through, and I thought
it imperative to send out a warning to the entire list about the type of
fraud it represents. In addition to the locations I mentioned above, I also
forwarded this SPAM to the SEC.
Under no circumstances should you try to respond to this type of request. I
have read several horror stories about what happens to people who fall
victims to the criminals who work this scam. At BEST, their victims end up
with all their assets stolen.
My advice when any of these UCEs come through is for you to delete them from
your computer without even reading them (why risk temptation?).
