Thanks for all the info!

I don't mean to be a tightwad, but I'd like to save as much as I can on
the flight, esp since ground transporation has to be figured into the
mix.

I can fly to LaGuardia for about $80 cheaper than Kennedy or other
airports, but I haven't heard too many suggestions about LaGuardia. I'm
also thinking about just renting a car so that once I'm at a hotel it'll
be easy to get to campus.

Does LaGuardia sound reasonable, even though most people seem to suggest
Kennedy?

Larry

Hi Warren,

I live 10 minutes from the Newburgh Airport (Stewart International
Airport, SWF is the code if you are searching for prices to it
on-line.) The problem with flying into Stewart is the limited
connections from there. Unless there is a bus that would take you from
Newburgh to Fairfield, you would need to rent a car or take a cab. If
you don't mind driving, it is 70.43 miles (1hr 39mins--as per MapQuest)

from the airport to Fairfield University. The highway that takes you
there is no more than 5-7 minutes from the airport (you'd only have to
drive on 2 different streets). It is also a scenic highway that goes to

Connecticut.

Otherwise, your next best bet is to fly into Kennedy Airport, take the
subway to Grand Central Station where you get the Metro North train that

goes to Fairfield, Ct.
