'Imma' has been around for some time. This summer, I stumbled upon an instance from 1968: Art Blakey Quintet's A Night At Birdland, Vol. 2 [Live], the end of track 4, Now's The Time: "Yes, sir, Imma stay with the youngsters. When these get too old,  Imma get some younger ones."
