A committee composed of members of NCTE
and of IRA is working on a statement
concerning national standards for teaching
English. Although I am not a member of that
group, I am interested in any ideas people may
have regarding standards for grammar at
various levels (primary, middle, high school,
etc.) It is, I believe, a question that needs to be
addressed. What do you think?
