Re Cheryl's posting of this morning....Did I miss something?

It's a vile world out there, friends (in Robbie Fulks' memorable
phrase), as we old folks know...we're surrounded every day with
"militance and ignorance/and, God, a lot of pain" (in somebody else's
memorable phrase).  To paraphrase the poet Philip Larkin, "we should be
good to each other, we should be kind/While there's still time" -
especially on the Connells list.
