Email update from The Connells - December 19, 2000

Welcome to the latest email update from The Connells. We're sorry for the conspicuous silence since the last email. In the last update we told you we expected to finish our new album in time for an October release. Well, it's now mid-December and we've finally finished the album. The tentative track listing is below. There's still some discussion regarding the album title, but that will be sorted out by next week. We'll keep you posted on the release plans for the album as they develop.

tentative track listing for new album:
Bust
Gladiator Heart
Back In Blighty
Radio
Put Down
Airlift
All The Time In The World
Rusted Fields
Hello Walter
Washington
The Bottom

Many of you have pondered (and expressed eloquently to us!) your frustration regarding the outdated information on our webpage. We've been planning an overhaul of our page in conjunction with the release of the new album, which meant that one delay led to the other delay. We look forward to launching the newest version of our webpage in the next few weeks. It will have lots of added features. Our email and webpage updates will be more frequent as we approach the release of our new album. We'll continue to add tour information as the band announces more shows.

Although you won't be able to hear the new album for a few more weeks, you can hear some of the new songs live by checking out one of the recently-announced shows in Raleigh this weekend. The band will be performing live at Humble Pie on Friday and Saturday nights (Dec. 22nd & 23rd). Tickets are available in advance for $12 at Schoolkids Records, The Record Exchange, and Crooked Beat Records. Tickets will be available at the door for $15. Humble Pie is located at 317 S. Harrington Street in downtown Raleigh. Their phone number is 919-829-9222 and you can find them on the web at www.humblpie.com Doors will open at approx. 11:00 PM; show time 11:30 PM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL NOT BE AN OPENING BAND ON EITHER SHOW. (i.e. THE MAYFLIES USA WILL NOT BE PERFORMING W/ THE CONNELLS ON DEC. 23RD AS LISTED ON HUMBLE PIE'S WEBPAGE.)

Please let us know if your address has changed or if you have friends who'd like to be on our mailing list. They can sign up via the band's homepage at www.theconnells.com, by sending an email to [log in to unmask], or by sending the information to our address: The Connells, 400 West Morgan St., Ste. 200, Raleigh, NC 27603-1826. The phone number is 919-834-5977.

You're on this list becuase you signed up for it at one of the band's shows or have corresponded with us via email. If you would like to be removed from the list, please send an email to [log in to unmask] with "Remove from email list" in the subject line.
