I was a freshman at ECU in Greenville, NC when I first heard the Connells (
1988-89), my roommate was from Raleigh and a huge Connells fan,  we would
argue about who to play in our CD player, the Connells or VB local gods the
Waxing Poetics.   Well, I became hooked on the Connells and the Waxing Poetics
split up.......so thats my story!    Have a great weekend               Beth
