Roanoke, VA, at the Roanoke Civic Center.  Opening act was the Waxing
Poetics, a now-defunct band from Richmond?  Norfolk?  somewhere like
that.  I really liked them--they opened for the Connells a lot around
that time.

I think we saw them the next year in Blacksburg, VA, on a double bill
with Drivin'-n-Cryin'.
