For the record: the brother referred to is George, a philosophy professor
at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

My interest in the Connells stems from my freshman year at Concordia, when
I took an intro philosophy course from Dr. Connell. I had never heard of
The Connells, but in class Dr. Connell often made references to his two
brothers who were in a band. At the time, I didn't think much about
it...but looking back, I wish I could remember more of his stories about
Mike and David! After taking the course, I bought "Ring" on a whim and
became a big fan.

Not surprisingly, George has a very similar build to Mike and David and has
many of the same mannerisms. In 1994, Dr. Connell helped bring the band to
"Cornstock," Concordia's outdoor music festival held each spring just
before finals. It was, by far, the best Cornstock ever!

Just a little trivia for you all...

Dean
