Hi all,
With regard to Don Dixon, he did produce REM, Let's Active and the
Smithereens, all prior to 1988 (that's the year of the Trouser Press
Record Guide that I have). My favorite album of his is "Romeo at
Juilliard's". I always associate Don Dixon with Lloyd Cole and the
Commotions probably because they started around the same time although
to me their music is somewhat similar.
I just bought Graham Parker and the Rumour's reissue of "Squeezing Out
Sparks" with "Live Sparks". "Live Sparks" is a radio only issue of the
songs on "Squeezing Out Sparks" in order with two covers thrown in at
the end (one of the Jackson 5). I had forgotten how good They could be.
During last years Connells tour Graham Parker was hitting many of the
same venues as the Connells. Doug was really hoping that there paths
would cross as he is a huge Graham Parker fan.

PS. Joakim, if you can't find anymore Don Dixon let me know as I think
we have an album I can copy at the radio station at which I work, and
maybe we can work out a trade.
