The Penn State Scanticon Conference Center Hotel
State College, Pennsylvania

a continuing and distance education service of the College of the Liberal Arts
in cooperation with Management Development Programs and Services

About the Workshop

As the twentieth century comes to a close, organizations face numerous
challenges. Among them, effective interpersonal communication is held up as a
key challenge by both conventional wisdom and research findings.

Gender dynamics play a subtle but significant role as men and women work
together in teams, develop plans, assume leadership roles, manage performance,
and deal with workplace issues. Ultimately, the mix affects individual and
team performance, product and service quality, and customer satisfaction.

This program uses interactive minilectures, discussions, questionnaires,
experiential and applied exercises, and practical case studies to promote
understanding and collaboration between men and women who work together to
reach their potential and collaborate in the workplace more effectively.

Who Should Attend

Managers, supervisors, executives, business owners, group leaders, human
resources personnel, and diversity trainers. We encourage both men and women
from one organization to attend, and offer a special fee to support that
effort.
