FYI: In 605 (the issues in the professions class) yesterday, Kerry Powell
mentioned that Barry C. was willing to pay for John Guillory to come speak
to the department, partly as an extension of the course, but for the
benefit of the entire dept.  Kerry made it sound like we (students in 605)
needed to express interest in order for this to happen.  It might help,
too, if those of you who are interested tell Barry that you think this
would be a good thing.
 
Also, I was able to listen to the YSO program on public schooling last
Sunday.  It was pretty good.  Is anyone thinking of getting the tapes or
transcript?  Is there a possiblity of joint ownership?
