to reiterate kevin's point: lets agree NOT to close off any avenues of
discussion through the high/low binary--not yet at any rate. what seems at
stake is precisely marx's praxis, or the political intervention of intellectual
work. or, better, what's on the "agenda' is our own class position as
intellectuals ( and the increasingly proletarianization of this work). so i
think there is room here for talking theoretically about those concerns to
which joetta gave voice: the possibility of a "united front" of a highly
"autonomous" work force. everyone should feel free to introduce whatever
theoretical perspective the y find illuminating. aled
