DIRECTOR OF MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTIVE EDUCATION
 
Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations is seeking
qualified candidates for Director of its Office of Management and Executive
Education.  This key position is responsible for charting strategic
direction.  Responsibilities include leading the development of new
products, fulfilling a faculty role in the programs, and establishing and
maintaining relationships with both client and collegial systems.
 
Experience in collaborative management of a diverse staff is critical.
Further, in coordination with the Operations Manager, oversees the budget
and related administrative matters.
 
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of previous related
experience and hold a Ph.D. in organizational behavior, management, human
resources, psychology, or a related field.  Experience consulting with
senior executives, design and delivery of senior executive educational
programs, market research skills, current knowledge of the domestic and
global business environment, and demonstrated skills in organizational
assessment, change management, and consulting are very important.
 
The position reports to the Associate Dean. ILR conducts public and custom
programming at two levels: supervisory/managerial (HR and Mgmt Development
skills; tactical focus; typically 1-3 days) and executive level (HR,
leadership, organizational change; strategic focus; typically 1-2 weeks). We
also provide facilitation, consultation, and intervention services.
