Journalism majors:
The Society for Professional Journalists is looking for 12 student
journalists to work at its National Convention Oct. 26-28 at the Adam's Mark
Hotel in Columbus Ohio. Deadline for application is June 1, so hurry if
you're interested.
The students will staff the Working Press, a daily tabloid newspaper that
covers convention events.
Student writers, photographers and designers are needed.
Students provide:
Energy, talent, great ideas and a good attitude
Your transportation to and from Columbus
Photographers must bring their own gear
SPJ provides:
Free convention registration, including event meals
Free accommodations at convention hotel
Mentoring by professional journalists
Networking venues
A place to showcase your talents in front of a sea of professionals (many
with extraordinary hiring powers) and more stuff to add to your portfolio

expertise)
