I'd speculate that since it's a holiday weekend less people are posting
and many systems people are taking advantage of this and working
on their systems.
 
The groups that I read regularly are having a normal flow of information.
 
Finally, I seriously doubt that the new server is having problems
up with the newsfeed.  Heck, once you dump all the overhead of
ANU News, a decent sized PC can handle the traffic.
