We can do both: fewer readings, with more $ for readers, AND less formally scheduled nonce readings like Demske. In fact, the latter is better with fewer of the former. THen we can offer a more decent stipend to those who do come.

We could, and probably should. I would like this guy to come though. I think the idea cris and David floated about having a secondary reading series is a good one. You don't have to come! Or you can just come to the party after and pretend you did. I would support that, and provide you a beverage.
