Well you will have to have an account on the Middletown VAX cluster
(MIAVX3) if you want to use the middletown modems. There are 2 modems
available 24 hours a day and 2 additional modems go on line when the
branch campus closes (10pm-8am M-R, 5pm F-8am M). All lines are 300-
9600 baud.

Unfortunately, most of the time the 2 24 hr modems are busy. At night,
when all 4 modems are working, you have a much better chance of getting
through.

They desparately need more modem lines, but it seems the university
will not fund the addition/installation of more lines (day or night),
even though there is a great demand for them.

The phone lines are 424-4840 and 424-9650 day, 424-2607 night.
If the nighttime modems are both in use, the phone will just ring
(will not sound busy). There is no rollover on the daytime modem lines

Talk to Jim Feldhouse, network admin at MIAVX3 (JFELDHOUSE@MIAVX3)
He'll be able to help you get an account in Middletown if you need it.
