Lorain County Community College welcomes you to the Fall 1995 Conference
of the Ohio Collegiate Computer Services Association! We encourage you
to join us in this cooperative effort to share knowledge and experience.

The conference begins on Thursday, November 2, with tours of the campus.
The tours will begin between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Stops include:
Distance learning/teaching classroom, library, fitness center (available
to conference attendees and families), computer labs, and our new early
childhood education laboratory school. We hope you can join us for these
tours. Just arrive in the Classroom/Conference Center (CCF) Lobby
between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Registration for the Thursday evening sessions begins at 6:00 p.m. in the
CCF Lobby. Light refreshments will be available.

As you probably already know, the theme of the conference is "A Panoply
of Issues." Whether you administrative, academic, technical or library
staff, you are sure to find topics which will be of interest to you.

Thursday evenings sessions include "Effective Design of Web Pages" and
"Building a World Wide Web Home Page." On Friday, the keynote address
is: "Defining Ethical Rules for a Global Space: The Need for Law on
the Internet," by Jeffrey Ritter, ECLIPS Program Director, Ohio Super
Computer Center.

Other sessions include: "System Conversion: Positioning for the Future,"
"Creating a Virtual Faculty: Bringing Computers into the Classroom,"
"Libraries in Cyberspace," and "Facilitating Relationships Between
Institutions."

A technology fair is also planned. The AS/400 Technology Van will be on
campus during the technology fair, in addition to the displays from various
colleges and universities.

If you have not yet registered with Catherine Hanshaw, it's not too late!
Just send her e-mail at: [log in to unmask], or call her at
513-727-3348. Another option is to register at the door. Registration for
the Thursday evening sessions will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; for the
Friday sessions, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the CCF Lobby.

Again, we hope to see you at the conference. We are confident that this
will be a most enjoyable and beneficial experience for you.

Sincerely,

Frank Remmick
