I stopped at several of the 'migrant traps' along this reservoir north of
Columbus this morning, and found some early migrant activity. I stopped at
New Galena boat ramp, the dam, the Cheshire boat ramp, and Alum Point
(south end of Old State Rd below SR 37). The water level was too high for
shorebirds, but the peninsulas at New Galena and Alum Point had accumulated
some early wanderers, including,

Green Herons - 2 at Alum Point
Red-headedWoodpecker - 1 juvenile at New Galena
Chimney Swifts - small flocks at both points
E.WoodPewees - 5-6 at New Galena, 3-4 at Alum Point
EKingbirds - 6 at New Galena, 5 at Alum Point
Warbling Vireos - 6+ at New Galena, but only a few elsewhere
Gnatcatchers - 6+ at New Galena, 2-3 at Alum Point
Swallows - small flocks of Barn Swallows and Purple Martins at both points
YellowWarblers - 1-2 at each Point
Baltimore Orioles - 2 at New Galena, 3 at Alum Point
