Dear Members of the Ohio Association for Institutional Research and
Planning:

My name is Lou Attinasi and I am past president of the National
Community College Council for Research and Planning (NCCCRP). NCCCRP is
the only national organization that exclusively represents community
college institutional researchers and planners and other individuals
interested in institutional research and planning in community colleges.
It is an affiliate of both the Association for Institutional Research
and the American Association of Community Colleges.

Shortly, NCCCRP will be holding elections for national officers and
regional directors for the 2004-05 academic year. One of the open
positions is Director of Region 3. In our new regional alignment, Region
3 covers the same part of the country as OAIRP, that is, the state of
Ohio. The duties of a regional director are as follow:

 1. Communicate with current and potential NCCCRP members in their
respective regions to encourage membership and active participation in
council activities.
 2. Provide information to the Electronic Newsletter editor about
activities in the region.
 3. Act as a liaison between the regional NCCCRP membership and other
appropriate regional organizations.
 4. Serve as members of the Executive Board and on committees of the
Executive Board.
 5. Submit an annual report of regional activities and needs to the
Executive Board.

If you work in, or have an interest in, community college research and
planning and are a member of NCCCRP, please consider nominating yourself
for Region 3 Director. (If you are not currently a member of NCCCRP, it
is a simple process to become one.)  Or you may wish to nominate a
colleague for director.

We also are seeking nominees for the following national positions:
president elect, secretary and membership coordinator. Please feel free
to nominate yourself or others for these positions as well.
