WMU has banned all halogen lights from residence halls.

Here at the University of Rio Grande, we have banded the use of all
halogen
type lights. In my opion the desk lamps pose a greater risk of
starting a
fire than stand up models. Just look how cluttered some of the desk
are that
these lights set on.
