I am searching for a policy, procedure or any type of guideline that could
give me direction in the area of covering smoke detectors during
construction or renovation projects. The questions would be
1) When does the contractor / worker have to uncover a smoke detector?
What is the period of time? (after each work day - after competition of the
project - weekend?)
2) What does the contractor have to use to cover smoke detectors?
(Gloves-Bags orange cones)
3) What are the penlites for false alarm activations from not covering the
detectors?
Thanks for all your help
