The Chapel Hill Fire Department recently purchased 5 Flir thermal imagers so
that each company had a unit. The University of North Carolina and the UNC
hospital went 50/50 with the city to foot the bill. It was an easy "sell"
to the Chancellor's office and the Mayor was committed to the project from
the moment we gave her a demonstration with a camera.

Subject: Thermal Imager camera

Have any of your departments purchased a "Thermal Imager" camera for
use in emergency rescue of students and/or staff trapped in fires or other
situations?
