Here are some options for SAS:

Unixgen: on December 1 we will have to pay 4273.0 to upgrade to 8
cpus and to renew the license. The estimated
maintenance cost is 4180 per year.

For Linux:

An 8 cpu license (4 nodes) cost 5340.0 initial fee and 4112 annual
maintenance (estimated)

In addition, Enterprise Miner has a set fee of 7150 (initial cost)
and 3101 annual maintenance. I believe this will be the cost to add it
to Unixgen as well.

So we can get it for either machine, but difficult to get it for
both. The advantage of installing it on the
cluster will be two-fold. Users will not have space problems and we
can use software money to pay for the
initial fee (Enterprise Miner and new Linux SAS).

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks
