Symbolic and Optimization Toolboxes are fine.  Editor, Help, and 
HandleGraphics are good also.

Calling the Compiler with 'mcc -m file.m' crashes with the following 
License Manager error:

Is this because the Compiler license isn't on unixgen yet?

I'm not familiar with the other Toolboxes.  You might also have Greg Reese, 
Amit Shukla, Chun Liang (for Bioinformatics and Database), and Matt 
Brenneman (for Signal, Image, maybe Statistics) check things out.
