The answer is that if users log out of Enterprise Miner by using the exit option in EM, rather than just killing their PuTTY sessions, this problem shouldn't happen, but this can be hard to explain to the users.

Yes, it worked but how do I know tomorrow when I go to class it will work and not repeat the "lock"?
