Phyllis,
I work mainly with SAS and SPSS and have found SAS a valuable resource in working with complex data. The SAS Graph module can handle any type of graphical task. These tasks do require a knowledge of SAS syntax, and I'll be happy to help with you that. SPSS also provides data management and graphical capabilities and is more menu-driven than SAS. Since SPSS was originally designed for Social Science applications, its graphics may be more suitable for your dissertation needs. Again I would be glad to assist you with that.

Subject: Stata
I found a document on the Miami website with your e-mail address. The document - Miami University RedHawk Cluster
Overview - lists Stata as one of the statistical packages used at Miami. I am a doctoral student in Social Gerontology and would like more information about Stata, including any instructional courses on the software and whether I am able to have it installed on my MU computer. I have used SPSS and SAS but understand from my readings that Stata has superior graphics and may be preferred for complex data sets, such as what I will likely use for my dissertation.
Thanks.
