Steve,

Add either ":n09" or ":n11" to the node resource request. The number indicates the year the node was purchased - either the 32 original nodes from 2009 or the 4 nodes added in 2011, which may have slightly better performance.

  For example: "-l nodes=1:ppn=8:n09"

Dave

Subject: requesting same node types

Hello folks,

I’m planning some algorithm timing experiments and will need to use nodes that are essentially identical in configuration and speed for all of the runs (might be batch or interactive – still deciding). What qsub option will ensure this?

Thanks!

Steve
