I like that idea.
I guess the key questions are who the audience(s) would be that might
benefit from engagement with him, and what we might like to get out of
it.
Your idea, Bob, is good because the audience is an absolutely key
constituency: the group of people initially using Sakai. Making sure
they come away from that with a good experience is critical, and I
imagine David would be helpful in introducing them to Sakai.
But I also want to figure out how to get MU actively involved in the
Sakai community, whether it's by contributing use cases to future
development, or by reviewing and commenting on design documents and
wire-frames, or getting involved (hint, hint) in early piloting and
development and testing work on Sakai 3. I could imagine David would
offer something of value to that end as well, which suggests a
different audience (more the IT development and services side).
