welcome back.  some interesting things to keep in mind:
 
S.T.O.P.: Students Together Opposing Predjudice.  This to-be student organizati
on is my idea to unite students on campus.  because i believe that all of us ha
ve felt like an outsider at one point in our lives,we all have the potential to
 empathize.  This group is part of the scholar-leader program through my outrea
ch position, and i would very much like the stelliott community to be very invo
lved.  the group will meet wednesdays, 7:30pm, 109 Harrison starting next week.
if you have any questions or have ideas, please help me.  i'm on my own on this
 one so far, so i would love your input.  next week i'll be asking again for yo
ur help to hype up the meeting for the university community.
 
along the same lines...
 
This Tuesday Time Out is the Never-Ever Party.  bring a quarter.  trust me, you
 want to be at this one.
The following Tuesday will be another outreach activity.  It's entitled "Divers
ity of Lifestyle" and will be about sexual orientation.  once again, i'm on my
own with this one, so if anyone would like to speak about this subject i would
really appreciate it.  this issue is very important and i think would be a posi
tive experience for us.  i am thinking that a pannel of stelliot perspectives w
ould be the most interesting, however, if there is not enough interest i will
ask the GLBA to come to speak to us.  anyone can be on the pannel, i only ask t
hat you have an open mind about the topic and feel comfortable expressing your
personal experiences and thoughts.  the structure will be in the same format as
 the religion panel last semester.  that is, a panel will answer questions to s
park a group discussion.  please let me know as soon as possible if you are wil
ling to participate- i will need to get in touch with GLBA mid-week to give the
m enough time to organize a group of speakers, if need be.
