To the School Psychology Community,

I hope this message finds everyone well and excited about the fall
semester. We are looking forward to a productive and successful academic
year. As you all know Katherine and Kevin have taken positions down south
and we wish them all the best. In regards to their leaving, the program
will be involved in searching for two new positions this year and that
process has already started. When position updates are available I will
share them with you through the listserve.

I would also like to officially welcome Alex Thomas back to the program.
His presence and energy is felt and appreciated by all. Alex will be with
us throughout the year so please make a point to welcome him back. In
regards to department business, the EDP department website will be updated
as will the school psychology website so look for changes within the next
few months. I have attached an updated copy of the school psychology
handbook (thank you Alex) so please keep this handy. Also, the testing
materials room will be staffed by Sarah Behrle on Mondays and Wednesdays
from 12-1:30. In the spring, a NCATE team will be visiting our division
and the school psychology program will be involved. This team visit is
important since we will be asked to demonstrate the strength and
effectiveness of our program and the students within it. When more details
about the visit are available I will send them your way.

Finally, by request of the EDP chair I will be acting as the coordinator
for the school psychology program for this year. If any issues or concerns
arise, please don't hestitate to contact me by email ([log in to unmask])
or by phone 529-6611. I am generally in my office every day and I always
check my email. Once again, I wish each of you an exciting and productive
school year.

Ray Witte
