School Psychology Students (and faculty):

I am passing along an invitation....

The Department of Educational Psychology is pleased to invite you to the
first annual Junior Scholar Lecture Series on Thursday April 28th, 2005
from 12:00 to 2:00pm in Shriver Multi Purpose Room C. Speaking will be Dr.
Gary Cates of Illinois State University. Dr. Cates is currently an
assistant professor for the ISU specialist and doctoral school psychology
program. His research interests include prevention and remediation of
academic skills deficits, evaluation of academic interventions, applied
behavior analysis in educational settings, and child psychopathology. If
you'd like, visit Dr. Cates' website: http://www.ilstu.edu/~glcates/

Lunch will be served. In addition, there will be an opportunity to
interact with local school psychologists and internship supervisors. More
detailed information will come your way.... If you have questions, contact
Jamie Ballinger at 529-4302 or [log in to unmask]

Also on April 28, 2005 will be the EDP departmental Awards Ceremony
honoring Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service for the 2004-2005
School year. This event will be held from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Miami
University Art Museum auditorium. Refreshments will be served. We will
then carry on Alex's tradition, although this time to Emerald Woods Dr.
(Jonestrom residence).

Please plan on attending both events; make arrangements for alternating
practicum days that week if you are in school on Thursdays.
