Please take a moment to read about this wonderful opportunity to study abroad while doing your student teaching:
Lori Tanner

Hello Students,
I received a call from the International School of Brussels, Belgium, stating that they would like to interview and recruit special education teachers for student teaching and possibly first year teaching internships for next year.

When I visited this past fall, they were very excited about the prospect of working with Miami University, especially with our special education program. The special education coordinator is planning to come here at the end of February and would like to meet with students at that time and set up interviews. I would like to have several interested students lined up for their visit if there is an interest. Any student who is interested in student teaching in Brussels or if you know a student who is graduating this spring, see if they are interested in teaching abroad. The school sets up housing for the first year interns and has agreed to do the same for our student teachers. Living expenses would be kept to a minimum. Interns would get paid a teacher's salary but not student teachers. It is a wonderful school and I think our students would make such an impact there.

There are also openings in other schools in Europe for the fall semester and also in Australia for the spring semester (2009). Any interested student should email Ellen Hill, [log in to unmask] I think this would be a wonderful opportunity for any Miami University Student Teacher!
