Now that the holidays are past, and Santa has brought you new
shiny things that work, you may be thinking about disposing of
some of the old stuff cluttering your home. (Accept that you
aren't going to fix it after all these years) If you have any
old non-functioning appliances, mechanical or electronic devices,
please consider donating them to the Society of Women Engineers
for their Take-Apart-A-Toaster Day which is coming up in March.
Every year, SWE collects toasters, clock/radios, VCRs, radios,
hair dryers, curling irons, electric razors, walkmans, stereo
components, computers, keyboards, typewriters, cameras, and any
other similar small devices. On March 7, thirty 5th and
6th grade girls get the chance to dissect all this stuff to see
how it's constructed and engineered.

We'll accept almost anything except something with a picture tube
or energy source that could be dangerous around a screw driver.
If you have any items to donate, please contact Alison Haskins
at 868-5975.

Don't limit it to what's just in YOUR house either. Ask your
friends and co-workers too.
