Hello Everyone!
Here are A few possible summer opportunities. IF you know
of any in your discipline, please feel free to post to the
WIMSE listserv for other students to see.
1) For Physics Students: APS Industrial SUmmer Internships
Deadline: 10/28/96..... Contact: Dr. Paul Scholten for
application materials
These match students with industries wishing to have
interns and pay a stipend.
2) Undergraduate SUmmer Scholars at Miami Univ.
This year's juniors are invited to apply for an
undergraduate summer scholarship. YOu must be paired
with a faculty member who is willing to do reserach
with you for 10 weeks during the summer. It pays
a stipend and gives you 12 credit hours of course work.
In physics and other science departments, this can
count for your Research Capstone experience (check your
department for details).
Due: Early December to departments.
