the sky, seeing the turmoil that would cover all, responds with a kiss.
the stars, feeling the destruction that would consume all, responds with
brilliance.

spaces between the sighs and the kisses,
the kisses and the brilliance,
often filled with darkness
knows that between yesterday and the darkness
is the promise of a new dawn

spaces between the darkness of the pain and the promise of the joy
is the understanding that peace comes from the storm,
that happiness comes from sorrow and
that dreams can give rise to new tomorrows.
