Just a reminder:

David Levering Lewis, two-time Pulitzer Prize winning biographer of W.E.B.
Du Bois, will visit Miami University on March 11 & 12.  Dr Lewis, who is
presently Julius Silver Professor at New York University, will present a
faculty/grad seminar at 3.30 pm on the 11th (location tba), and will give
a formal lecture at Hall Auditorium at 8 pm that evening.

Dr Lewis's seminar will focus on the subject "American Higher Education as
Conceived by W.E.B. Du Bois."  His lecture will be on the topic "Du Bois
and the 21st Century."

I hope that you all will be able to attend both events.  Professor Lewis
is providing advance copies of a paper that we will discuss in the
seminar.  If you plan to attend, please let me know and I'll forward a
copy to you by email.
