The Wall Street Journal, Friday, Feb. 12
Miami University's James Stearns (marketing) and Ball State's Shaheen Borna
found few differences when they compared responses to an ethics survey from
students in 11 MBA programs with those from inmates at three
minimum-security prisons.

Art Jipson (sociology, gerontology, anthropology) discussed hate crime and
white supremacy.

Ball State University's Shaheen Borna discussed the survey conducted by him

Investigation on the alleged favoritism between Hamilton County and the
contractors hired to do stadium work includes an interview with Steve DeLue
(political science) on how important it is for officials to bend over

Allan Winkler writes about the Salzburg Seminar in the Austrian Alps and

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Miami University's
department of zoology a $30,500 grant.

Miami University is one of three universities chosen to view a White House
broadcast and be questioned by representatives of the Social Security
Administration on the future of Social Security.

The Middletown Journal, Tuesday, Feb. 16
Miami University-Middletown's enrollment has increased to 2,640.  Dick
Sollman (public relations and marketing) attributes the growing student
population to increased ads, promotion and outreaches by recruiters and the
admissions staff.  Also quotes Michael Governanti (executive director,
Middletown campus).

Miami University officials doubt they'll be able to raise enough money to
save four men's sports from elimination on April 16.
