** DIANE's book tour is going on this week. Her memoir, "Finding My Voice,"
is in bookstores now.  Over the next several weeks, she'll be in and out.

10-11: Corruption in Russia: The Clinton administration has come under
increased criticism for maintaining a relationship with Russia that many
feel has failed. A panel talks about Russia's slow steps toward
establishing civic institutions of democracy and the corruption that has
severely hampered Russia's progress. They'll explore the disagreements here
in the U.S. as to the significance of American influence.

11-12: Simon Singh: Author Simon Singh tells the history of code-making and
code-breaking in his new book, "The Code Book" (Doubleday).  The book also
includes a brand-new code... with a $15,000 reward for the first person who
can break it!

The transcendant singing of a Buddist nun. . .a conversation with CHOYING
DROLMA ("CHOY-ing DROLL-ma), an expatriate Tibetan Buddist nun and a
demonstration of her religious songs.  She collaborated on a recent CD with
guitarist Steve Tibbetts, and is currently on tour.
